Shawney Kersey has switched his verbal to Penn State.
Justin Brown canceled his BC visit and was at PSU over the weekend. There were some rumors that he would verbal to PSU, but he is keeping mum at the moment.
From here, Brown believes a decision is forthcoming.
“I don’t think I’ll be taking anymore visits,” he said. “It’s really between Rutgers and Penn State.
“I’m not going to rush my decision. I’m pretty sure it may be before Signing Day. I’m going to pray about it and make sure I make the right decision because this isn’t just four or five years, it’s the next 20 or 30 years of my life.”
There were reports over the weekend that he would verbal to Penn State, but no one really knows for sure.
Justin Brown, a 6-foot-3.5, 215-pound wide receiver from Concord High School in Delaware continues to be a hot topic in recruiting as he has narrowed his schools down to Penn State and Rutgers. It was rumored over the weekend that Brown gave a commitment to the Nittany Lions; however Brown has publicly debunked them. PSU has had him for the most amounts of visits; however the Scarlet Knights have the advantage of Tom Savage in his ear, so things could get interesting here. This situation is about as confusing as recruiting can get right now.
I’d say it’s a good sign when one of your targets in Andrew Tiller visits a competitor and isn’t raving about his visit.
“I might visit Miami,” he said. “I talked to the Miami coaches on Friday. It’s just pretty much those three—Miami, Syracuse and Rutgers. I’m not looking at NC State.
“I’ll be ready to make my decision sometime between now and Signing Day.”
Receiver Dwayne Difton was at UConn last weekend. I think this update from the 14th might be a little old, as I believe he is visiting us this next weekend and high on Rutgers.
He’s unsure where he is headed on Jan. 23 and Jan. 30, but says he is considering a trip to Tennessee, Purdue, and Minnesota.
He was highly interested in Boston College, but after the firing of head coach Jeff Jagodzinski, Difton was no longer interested in taking a visit there.
Despite not hearing from South Florida, he still lists the Bulls as his leader.
“South Florida is my top, but Southern Miss is a great school so I have thoughts on them too,” Difton said.
