Warning: streaming video over the internet without permission violates many copyright laws. It also is rife with technical difficulties (and possibly spyware), which I will not be able to assist you with.

Step one: Download TVAnts.

Step two: Click this link, courtesy of the MyP2P forums.

I will not be viewing the Ravens tonight, as it is the first time in over six months that I’ll be able to see my beloved Super Bowl Champion NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS WOOOOOOOO YES$#*#*#*(!

However, I will try to take a look at the game some time this weekend, and post an analysis of his performance next week.

A Walk on the Banks, pt. 1

A beginner’s guide to the history of Rutgers and its football program.

The history of Rutgers is the history of disappointment and poverty. In 1674, as a result of the third Anglo-Dutch War, the Dutch ceded their colony of New Netherlands to the English. In 1746, those limeys created Princeton University. Twenty years later, British colonial governor William Franklin granted permission to the Dutch Reformed Church of America, led by Jacob Hardenbergh, to form Queen’s College in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

In its early days, the university was so poor that it only held classes in a tavern. Owing to a lack of funds, Queen’s College closed its doors multiple times during this period. In 1825, the Queens College trustees decided to rename their school “Rutgers College”, hoping for a sizeable donation from philanthropist and Revolutionary War hero Col. Henry Rutgers. In typical New Jersey fashion, Rutgers stiffed Rutgers University, eventually only sending them a bell, which is still prominently displayed on campus as a monument to our abject failure and disappointment.

ESPN and other sources are reporting that center Mark Brazinski has decommitted.

“I committed prematurely and want to re-evaluate all of my opportunities,” Brazinski told ESPN’s Billy Tucker Thursday morning.
He also said Rutgers is still very much in the mix, no new teams have come into the picture at this point, but he plans to take at least some of his official visits before making his final decision.
The Under Armour All American center chose the in-state Scarlet Knights over Florida State, Boston College and UPenn in early June.

Brazinski’s brother is at UPenn. He is an excellent student with interest in the Wharton Business School, so it will be tough to lure him away from there. However, I believe if Brazinski chooses to play Division I-A football, he will still end up at Rutgers.

Happy Ray Day

Tom Luicci today has an article about Coach Flood and his efforts to rebuild our offensive line. Also included are notes on changing wind patterns, and Matt Hardison is impressing on the offensive line.

I’m sure most RU fans read Aditi’s blog, but if you don’t

Anthony Davis’s thoughts on moving to left tackle. Luicci also wrote an article about George Johnson. The profile-o-meter arrow spun and landed on the McCourtys today.

Are our LBs ready to take the next step this season?

Incoming freshman Eddie Poole has suffered a knee injury and will be redshirting.

Can San San Te adequately replace Jeremy Ito?

Sherman and Margolin have popped up again, this time reporting who will be on the university’s athletics review committee. Looks to be a very pro-athletics group.

Gary Gibson has a knack for sticking around and defying expectations.

GBN really likes Rutgers players apparently. Is Kevin Horning KWALL by any chance?

4. Kenny Britt, Rutgers - 6-4, 205, JR …. 2007 Statistics: 62 receptions, 1,232 yards (19.9 ypr), 8TD

Because WR Tiquan Underwood and RB Ray Rice also had really good years for the Scarlet Knights in 2007, Britt was mainly overlooked. However, with his size and speed, he will become the best overall receiver in the Big East in ’08. Britt is one of the best deep threats in college football, which is evident in the fact he averaged 20 yards a catch. He tallied 5 100 yard games last season, but must show more consistency over the course of the entire schedule. I believe he will do just that, as he will be gaining more experience week after week. Has one of the biggest upsides of any receiver on this list.

Notre Dame will be holding more games on our turf, as Syracuse, as rumored, appears ready to play 5 “home” games at the new Giants Stadium.

8/7 Around the Big East

ESPN ranks the Big East coaches. I think Brian Kelly should have been #1.

The Cincinnati Enquirer seems to be the best source right now for Bearcat news.

Zach Frazer is making a push to wrest the starting UConn QB job away from Tyler Lorenzen. My personal view is that they’d be better off with Frazer and his playmaking ability.

Card Chronicle is doing a great job reporting on Louisville’s fall practice.

Can Gus Mustakas make a strong Pitt defensive line even better?

Syracuse notes.

Jake Griffin is one of several key returnees for USF.

Who will back up Noel Devine? WVU has the Big East’s top returning OLOther notes from camp.
